Go Chad Live

Last night WSET ran the following story.

Rockbridge Co., VA- A hiker rescued over the weekend in Rockbridge County is facing a child pornography charge in Lynchburg and scheduled to be in court next month. We were working on a story about Chad Jarrett‘s arrest a few days before the hiking accident, but it did not air. According to Jarrett's Facebook page, he volunteered at Thomas Road Baptist Church's Power Point program, a ministry group of middle schoolers. Police say the criminal investigation does not involve any of the children Jarrett worked with. TRBC did not return our calls seeking comment.

This weekend Chad Jarrett fell down a hole after hitting his head.  As the story mentioned, he was arrested a couple of days before the accident.

Given the circumstance, I feel that I have a responsibility to explain my involvement with Chad.  For those that don't know, Chad was a Liberty student who ran a Vlog series about himself called Go Chad Live.  I first came into contact with Chad after I watched this video.

This was Ergun's first appearance on youtube after the controversy.  Foolishly, I stripped some of the audio from his video and used it in this video without permission.

Chad contacted me and rightfully demanded that I attribute the audio to him.  I originally did not, because I feared what might happen to him since he was a student in Ergun's class.  Over the next year or so, we messaged each other a couple of times about Ergun videos.  He remained and I assume he remains an admirer of Ergun's.

Since I am anonymous, as far as I know, Chad did not know who I was.  I obviously did know who he was and saw him around Lynchburg from time to time.  He was a local small time youtube celebrity.  I did not know until last night that Chad had been arrested.  I do not know anything in reference to his possible guilt.

God Bless,

Moses
